How to Pray Salah

Make Intention (Niyyah)
Stand facing the Qibla and make the sincere intention in your heart for the prayer you are about to perform.
Raise Hands & Say Takbir
Raise your hands to your ears and say 'Allahu Akbar' to begin the prayer.
Opening Supplication
Recite the opening du'a: 'Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghayruk.'
Recite Al-Fatiha
Recite Surah Al-Fatiha, followed by another surah or verses from the Quran.
Ruku (Bowing)
Bow down saying 'Allahu Akbar', keeping your back straight, and say 'Subhana Rabbiyal Adheem' three times.
Return to Standing
Rise from bowing saying 'Sami'allahu liman hamidah' and 'Rabbana lakal hamd.'
Sujud (Prostration)
Prostrate saying 'Allahu Akbar', with forehead, nose, hands, knees, and feet on the ground. Say 'Subhana Rabbiyal A'la' three times.
Sit Between Prostrations
Rise to a sitting position saying 'Allahu Akbar', then say 'Rabbi ghfir li' before the second prostration.
Complete the Units (Rak'ahs)
Repeat the cycle of standing, bowing, and prostrating for each rak'ah of the prayer.
Tashahhud & Salam
In the final sitting, recite the Tashahhud and send salams to the right and left, completing the prayer.
